Tired Of The Old School Network Marketing Techniques?

Filed under: Lead Generation — BoostYourIncomeFireYourBoss @ 4:31 pm

Are you tired of the old school network marketing techniques? You know the 3 foot rule, flyers, Excuse Me cards, bugging your family and friends, and holding Business Opportunity meetings.

I know that when I joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these techniques as well as buy Names Lists to mail out flyers.  I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money. I was told stupid things like get 90 ‘No’s’ to get close to a ‘Yes’.

I was faced with nothing but rejection.

When I was avoided by just about everyone that I knew, all my upline told me to do was to go out and buy some opportunity leads. Leads which had probably been sold several times over to other networkers

This led me to more rejection and spending a bunch of money I didn’t have in the first place!  I was out of money, and had nothing to show for it.

Then just as I was going to give up, I found what I consider to be the “life saver” for my business.

This life saver I speak of was Mike Dillard’s 7 Day Free Video Boot Camp.

In these 7 free videos Mike explained how I could attract an endless stream of prospects to me ready to join and actually get paid to prospect.  His system is probably the best one available for generating MLM leads.

These videos have really changed the way I do my business, and I think they can help you too.

You can get free instant access to these videos here…

Enjoy,

In MLM, it’s the system, stupid!

Filed under: Lead Generation — BoostYourIncomeFireYourBoss @ 11:25 am

An excellent email I rec’d this morning from Stephen Pierce set the course for this piece - thanks Stephen!

He said that way back in 1992 when Bill Clinton was running for President against George Bush Snr, he uttered a phrase that was considered the key turning point for winning the election.

That phrase was “It’s the economy, stupid.”

So what has this got to do with Network Marketing or MLM Lead generation? Everything! Because the chances are your upline will be using a similar phrase when discussing how to build your business.

Have you guessed what it is yet? “It’s the system, stupid!”

What if the ’system’ is out of date?
So what does your system include?

Are you told to speak to friends & family, practice the 3foot Rule, advertise in the local paper, drop flyers, use business cards at every opportunity? OK, so far so good, but how well are they working at present? Is you business growing, is you Upline’s business growing? I’d be very surprised if the answer is a resounding ‘Yes’.

Apart from the friends & family advice the rest is very much ‘Cold Market’ and the cost of sponsoring a new rep in this market is ever spirilling upwards and will continue to do so, while the actual return and the ‘lifetime value’ of that rep continues to decline.

Expand your ’system’ or your business will die!

Unless you have been living in a cave for the last few years you cannot have missed the launch of the movie ‘The Secret’ which reminded the world of the ‘Law of Attraction’.

If your system does not include ‘attraction marketing’, your business will die - it’s as simple as that. I have written elsewhere at length about this elsewhere in this blog.

Notice i said ‘include’ which suggest coninuing to use the older cold market methods if they work for you. With the explosion of the Internet into business and personal life these last few years, not to include what they have to offer frankly is plain ’stupid’!

I would urge you to make use of the many Social websites to attract people to you and some of them my like what you have to say and may want to join you in your business.

Attraction Marketing in the Social Websites

The best advice any networker can follow to generate MLM leads is available from the likes of Mike Dilard of Magnetic Sponsoring and Building on a Budget and Ann Sieg of The Renegade Network Marketer.

Mike Klingler of the Renegade University has produced literally masses of click-by-click webinars which take you through every stage of setting up your exposure on the Internet using the tried and tested methods outlined by both Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard in their excellent books.

The way Mike Klingler has produced these webinars is such that even a complete beginner who doesn’t even know how to cut & paste, will be able to follow these tutorials!

Enjoy!

How to Manage information Overload

Filed under: Hints & Tips — BoostYourIncomeFireYourBoss @ 12:10 pm

Do you remember the time before email and the Internet existed?  Possibly you are too young to know, but assuming my memory is not playing tricks on me I’m sure life was a little less hectic and pressured than it is today.

In the UK the Postman would deliver the mail in the early morning and if you were lucky you might have got another delivery in the afternoon.  You could count the number of letters on the fingers of one hand and as to unsolicited mail (spam) that went straight into the WPP without the danger of it corrupting your hard drive! - We just didn’t have hard drives to corrupt!  Aren’t I just showing my age!!!!

How different life is today!

Emails ping into your inbox throughout the day demanding immediate attention like a spoilt child!

If you have content on any of the Social Networks like Facebook or MySpace or content sharing sites such as digg.com or stumbleupon.com your email can mount up inexorably and leave you little time to attend to the important activities of the day.

So, how do you manage this activity? Well I can only tell you what I do and hope that you might find my ideas useful - working this plan means I can focus on the really important activities that I follow to make money on the internet.

It’s time for a spring clean of your email account.

  • Create several email accounts with different providers such as Google and Yahoo in addition to that provided by your ISP which you will perhaps consider as your primary email address
  • Use your primary email for important activities that may require your immediate attention such as from colleagues with whom you are working during the day and your immediate family.
  • Use the other accounts for your Internet sign-ups, perhaps one for your Social Network activity and the other for your Internet business connections such as affiliate programs.
  • Check these accounts twice a day unless you need to respond to an email conformations request.
  • Switch off email notification of new friends and shouts from your social sites and deal with these matters at a convenient time of the day and perhaps only once a day at that!
  • Delete emails as you read them unless they contain important information in which case create a folder within your email program.
  • Use you diary system to remind you to check your email folders once a month to empty the folders of emails that weren’t important after all!
  • Use a Spam Identifier such as MailWasher. This program identifies spam or suspect emails and allows you to delete them before they are downloaded onto you computer

Hope this helps someone.  And please add your comment and ideas too - thanks.

Rosalind Gardner Takes on City Hall with Her Blog - And Wins

Filed under: Hints & Tips — BoostYourIncomeFireYourBoss @ 11:55 am

On Earth Day night, I couldn’t help but notice the ugly glare from the HUGE lamp standards at our local baseball field than burned for hours on end while no one played… AGAIN.

As a local taxpayer and someone concerned about the environmental damage caused by wasteful energy usage…
